-
To Install your
new modem click "Start" and select
"Control Panel"
-
Then select the
"Network and Internet Connections"
-
Then click "Phone
and Modem Options"
-
Then click at "Modems"
tab
-
Click on "Add..."
button
-
Then click "Next" to
continue.
-
Windows XP will
check the modem you may have.
-
Windows XP will
install your modem , click "Finish"
to finished your modems set up.
-
Windows XP show
message to alert that it has found
new hardware.
-
And you will see
the messages "Your new hardware is
installed and ready to use".
-
When finished you will
see your modem's name in "Modems" tab click
"OK".
- To set your modem properties click "Start"
and select the "Control Panel".
- Then select the "Network and Internet
Connections".
- Then click "Phone and Modem Options".
- Then click at "Modems" tab.
- Click "Properties" button to setting
your modems.
- Then click "Diagnostics" to check
your modem informations.
- Click "Query Modem" to test the
communication of your modem.
- Wait for few second, Windows XP will checking
the communication of your modems.
- If the communication of the modem has no
problem you will see the information in "Command"
and "Responds" box.Click "OK"
and go to the "Advanced" tab to
continue your setting.
- In the "Extra Initialization commands"
you can put the initialization command of
your modems.Then click "OK" to finished
your modem setting.

To make the new connection
click the "Start" button and select
"Control Panel".

Then click "Network
and Internet Connections"
-
Click "Create a connection
to the network of your workplace" to
continue.
-
Check at "Dial-up
connection" option then press "Next"
to continue set up.
-
In "Company Name"
put the name of your ISP and click "Next"
to continue.
-
Type the phone number (ISP's
modem number) you dialing into your ISP and
click "Next".
-
Click "Finish"
to completing make a connection,check at "Add
a shortcut to this connection to my desktop"
if you want a shotcut on the desktop.

You will see your connection
icon.
-
Before you can use the
connection, you have to set up the connection
properties.
-
To set your connection
properties, Right-click on your connection
icon and select "Properties".
-
In "General"
tab check your modem number correctly, uncheck
at the "Use dialing rules" if it
check and then click "Configure"
button to set the modem configure
You will see the Modem configuration dialog
set "Maximum speed (bps):" as the
speed of your modem and click "OK".
Then click at the "Options" tab
to continue.
-
Set the value then click
"Security" to continue.
-
Set the value as figure
- 12 then click "Networking" to
continue setting.
-
For "bring-up terminal"
select at "Show terminal window"
-
Making Hi-light at the
"Internet Protocal (TCP/IP)" then
click "Properties" button
-Click "Advanced.." button.
-
Some customer call "Preferred
DNS server" as "Primary DNS"
and call "Alternate DNS server"
as "Secondary DNS"
-In the "General" tab check your
config then click "DNS" to continue.
-In "DNS" tab show "Preferred
DNS server" and "Alternate DNS server"
click "Edit.." if you want to change
this number.Then click "Wins" tab
to continue.
-In "Wins" tab no need to change,
let it then click "OK" to continue.
-Then click "OK" button again to
continue.
-
Click "Advanced"
tab and set it then click "OK" to
finish.
-
Click the "Start"
button and select "Control Panel"
-
Then click the "Network
and Internet Connections".
-
The screen show, click
at "Network connections" to continue.
-
Double click at the "Internet
KSC" icon
-
You will see the Connect
Internet KSC dialog. Type your "User
name" and your "Password"
-
Then you can see the step
-
If the connection complete
you will see the alert
